August 7, 2022 Lord’s Day Audio Sermon (2 Thessalonians 1:6-2:12) THE MYSTERY OF LAWLESSNESS, & THE RESTRAINING SPIRIT OF THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST “For David did not ascend into the heavens, but he says himself: ‘The LORD said to my Lord, “Sit at MY right hand, till I make YOUR enemies YOUR footstool.”’ “Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly that GOD has made this Jesus, whom you crucified, both Lord and Christ.” Now when they heard this, they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Men and brethren, what shall we do?” Then Peter said to them, “Repent, and let every one of you be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins; and you shall receive the gift of the HOLY SPIRIT. For the promise is to you and to your children, and to all who are afar off, as many as the Lord our God will call.” (Acts 2:34-39) DO YOU BELIEVE THAT ALL RELIGIONS LEAD TO HEAVEN? ‘Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12) ARE YOU UPSET AT BEING TOLD THAT JESUS CHRIST IS THE ONLY WAY TO HEAVEN? Jesus said to him, “I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE. NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME.” (John 14:6) ARE YOU CONFUSED ABOUT THE END OF LIFE ON EARTH, THE RETURN OF JESUS, THE TERRORS OF HELL, & THE BLISS OF HEAVEN? In the beginning was the WORD (LOGOS), and the WORD (LOGOS) was with GOD, and the WORD (LOGOS) was GOD. HE was in the beginning with GOD. All things were made through HIM, and without HIM nothing was made that was made. In HIM was life, and the life was the light of men. And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not comprehend it. (John 1:1-5) DO YOU BELIEVE YOU CAN CHANGE YOURSELF OR THAT YOUR POSITION OR SUCCESS IN LIFE WILL JUSTIFY YOUR SINS BEFORE A HOLY & RIGHTEOUS GOD IN JUDGMENT? REMEMBER: Come now, you who say, “Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell, and make a profit”; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, “If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that.” But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil. (James 4:13-16) MARANATHA!
July 31, 2022 Lord’s Day Audio Sermon (2 Thessalonians 1:6-2:12) IN TIMES OF LIES & DECEPTION; WATCH & PRAY BY THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST “Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming…Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.” (Matthew 24:42 & 44) DO YOU TRUST WHAT YOU HEAR FROM YOUR GOVERNMENT LEADERS? DO YOU TRUST WHAT YOU HEAR FROM THE MEDIA? DO YOU TRUST WHAT YOU ARE HEARING AT CHURCH? “Then if anyone says to you, ‘Look, here is the Christ!’ or ‘There!’ do not believe it. For false christs and false prophets will rise and show great signs and wonders to deceive, if possible, even the elect. See, I have told you beforehand.” (Matthew 24:23-25) DO YOU KNOW & DISCERN THE POWER OF DECEPTION? “Why do you not understand MY speech? Because you are not able to listen to MY word. You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it. But because I tell the truth, you do not believe ME. Which of you convicts Me of sin? And if I tell the truth, why do you not believe ME? He who is of GOD HEARS GOD’S words; therefore you do not hear, because you are not of God.” (John 8:43-47) REMEMBER: “MY sheep hear MY voice, and I know them, and they follow ME. And I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of MY hand.” (John 10:27-28) MARANATHA!
